It’s always amusing when celebrities try out their negligible sports skills against real life athletes. Why is it amusing? Because it’s fun watching famous people fail. Don’t ask me why, it just is.

More from Kansas City Royals

At the recent Big Slick charity event in Kansas City, big stars like Johnny Knoxville, Jason Sudeikis and Paul Rudd, and little stars like Rob Riggle, stood in against the Royals’ Jeremy Guthrie and took some BP hacks. And it wasn’t pretty. In fact it was downright horrifying.

Even though Guthrie was clearly going easy on the celebs, barely any of them could even make contact. Jason Sudeikis even admitted that he was terrified of the ball.

I’d hate to see what would happen if Jason Sudeikis had to stand in against a real fire baller throwing full speed. He would probably poop his pants.

So what did we learn? Celebrities can’t hit a baseball off a mediocre major league pitcher who is taking it easy on them. But they’re still rich, famous and attractive so I guess they can learn to live with not being able to hit a baseball.
