Google is making sure Android Wear owners have quick and easy download to a number of apps for the upcoming smart watch platform.
In a tweet from the Google Developments account on Wednesday night, Google announced that a collection of applications for Android Wear has been available available in the Google Play Store.
“Apps for Android Wear launching today! A collection of apps for Android Wear is now available on Google Play,” the Tweet said.
Including the official Android Wear app, there are a couple dozen apps to choose from for download to your Android Wear device, which are the LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live as of now. Other available apps include Bandsintown, Pinterest, Player FM and Glympse.
Google is constantly updating the listing of apps as more become available.
Currently, it appears that the Android Wear app catalog can only be accessed via direct URL. If you try and find a dedicated category on the Google Play home page, you won’t find one just yet. That being said, it’s best to favorite the page with all of the app listings in your browser for future reference.
