The 6-2, 190-pound White is the nation’s No. 91 player overall regardless of position, No. 3 pocket-passer and the No. 14 player in the always-loaded state of California, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
This year’s crop of quarterback talent in California may be one of the best collections of talent we’ve seen in decades with Josh Rosen and Ricky town the No. 1 and No. 2 quarterbacks in the 247Sports Composite and fellow Californians, Jake Browning, Blake Barnett, Travis Waller and Sheriron Jones who are all in Oregon competing in the Elite 11.
White has been in the shadows of these other signal-callers throughout his prep career, but through two days at the camp, White has proven he belongs in that upper-tier of California quarterbacks, and therefore among the top in the nation.
Further proof of that, White was ranked in the initial Elite 11 quarterback rankings. and holding his own against his peers that came to the camp with much more fanfare and higher recruiting rankings.
If White continues to impress this week, a boost up the recruiting rankings will be coming soon and perhaps he’ll get that coveted five-star designation like Rosen and Town and finally be recognized as being in their class.
Take a look at some of the throws White has made during his time at the Elite 11 in the video below.
