A few quarterbacks stood out among their peers on the first day of workouts at the Elite 11 on Sunday, but none more so than Texas Tech commit Jarrett Stidham who had the best first impression on the coaches and came in at the No. 1 spot in the initial rankings.

More from College Football

1. Jarrett Stidham
2. Drew Lock
3. Josh Rosen
4. Blake Barnett
5. Ryan Brand
6. Ross Bowers
7. Brandon Wimbush
8. Travis Waller
9. Sam Darnold
10. Deondre Francois
11. Brady White

Stidham is the headliner of Kliff Kingsbury’s 2015 class and for good reason, just take a look at this touchdown pass.

The list is fluid and will fluctuate throughout the remaining days of competition, especially now that the quarterbacks won’t be throwing against air as the 7-on-7 portion of the camps are underway.

Any quarterback should look great when you’re not having to throw against a defense which they now will have to do as some of the elite cornerbacks, safeties and linebackers arrive for The Opening.

The biggest snub has to be Texas A&M commit Kyler Murray who looked outstanding on Sunday. Murray demonstrated extremely quick feet and polished footwork getting in his drops and the five-star recruit and No. 1 dual-threat quarterback, in the 247Sports Composite Rankings will be one to watch moving forward.

Another notable omission is Ricky Town as the USC commit and the No. 1 overall recruit in the 247Sports rankings has not gotten off to a great start as his arm strength is not quite where he would like it to be following arthroscopic knee surgery on his drive leg which has zapped some of the velocity on his throws.
