It took the Miami Heat long enough to find free agents to sign but they’re starting to make progress as the second week of the period begins. They’ve added both Josh McRoberts and Danny Granger to the roster and now have something show LeBron when they meet this week.

More from LeBron James

According to Mar Stein from ESPN.com, the Miami Heat made LeBron James aware that they were going to be pursuing Josh McRoberts, which implies that there has been contact between the Heat and LeBron during this free agent period.

Then again, it’s impossible to tell when the Heat made LeBron aware that they’d be targeting McRoberts and it’s even more unclear how he feels about it. Don’t forget that it was McRoberts who threw an elbow into the throat of LeBron James in the first round of the NBA playoffs, but his signing seems to indicate there’s no hurt feelings anymore.

He’s a versatile big man that the Heat need and it’s clear that Pat Riley is taking the time to be sure he has pieces to show LeBron when their face-to-face meeting takes place.
