Four-star running back Jordan Scarlett (Fort Lauderdale, Fla. St. Thomas Aquinas) will have all eyes on him later today at Nike’s “The Opening” when he announces where he’ll be playing in college among a group of finalists that includes Miami, Florida State and South Carolina.

However, the 5-11, 210-pound back made a eye-opening move in workouts prior to Tuesday night’s announcement to get the hype machine up and running a few hours until his announcement.
Scarlett was originally committed to Florida Atlantic before decommitting on June 27 because he didn’t think he was ready to put a program on his shoulders so he opened up his recruitment and the in-state Hurricanes are the clubhouse leader to receive his commitment, and this is the type of moves they can come to expect in Coral Gables in the near future.

Scarlett came into The Opening with an “overrated” label by some critics of his game, but the nation’s No. 97 overall recruit regardless of position, No. 10 running back and No. 17 recruit in the state of Florida has put on a show and stands out among the nation’s elite prep players.
All I've been hearing all spring is that Jordan Scarlett is overrated. Someone needs to explain themselves. Dude has been dirty today

Scarlett ran an official 4.3 in the 40-yard dash in the SPARQ testing on Tuesday showing he has the breakaway speed to go along with his incredible agility and elusiveness.
