Johnny Manziel is a controversial figure in the sports world thanks to his brash style off of the field. Manziel doesn’t worry about what the media and fans will think while he goes out and enjoys his life which rubs some people the wrong way.

More from Cleveland Browns

Many believe that the Cleveland Browns first-round pick should be conducting himself like more of a professional, but Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders loves what he has seen from Manziel.

“The quarterback mold was created by Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Drew Brees, Tom Brady,” Sanders told 105.3 The Fan.

“When we don’t see [partying] from those guys, we kind of think it’s wrong because we don’t see it. That does not mean that Johnny Manziel has done one thing wrong. We just haven’t seen something of his kind. I like it. I love change.”

Manziel gets criticism because he likes to party and enjoy the attention he gets in the spotlight, but he really hasn’t done too much to be ashamed of.

For Sanders, Manziel is just having fun.

At least he isn’t being Justin Bieber.

“The kid hasn’t done anything. They’re putting him out there like he’s Justin Bieber — like he’s egging folks on and doing wild and rich folks stuff. He’s not doing stuff like that. He’s a good kid,” Sanders said.

If anyone can understand living a flashy lifestyle, it is Deion Sanders.

Sanders found a way to make that off-field lifestyle work while having success on the field, so perhaps he can take Manziel under his wing and find a way to help Manziel find a balance that will work best for his personal and professional life.
