It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about former Detroit Lions wide receiver Titus Young, and that’s not a bad thing at all, given that most of the news surrounding him was anything but positive. Unfortunately, though, his name is hitting the presses once again, and yes, it’s for more trouble with the law.

More from Detroit Lions

According to a report from the Detroit Free-Press, Young was arrested out in Los Angeles on more felony charges, this time being charged with battery with serious bodily injury. The Free-Press did inquire further into the matter and the incident that led up to the arrest, but the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department would not provide anything for them at this time.

Back in May of 2013, Young was charged with felony burglary and assault, and when totaled up, he ended up being hit with 11 charges when all was said and done. It was from that point that we started to hear reports that his mental health may be in decline, and he was in need of some serious professional help.

Young was a star on some of the great Boise State teams in recent years, and it appeared that he was on his way to a rather successful career as a no. 3 receiver in the Lions’ high-powered offense. That was until these personal issues came to light and he was eventually released by the team at the beginning of the 2013 calendar year.
