Leonard Fournette was the crown jewel in the 2014 recruiting class for LSU, and rightfully so as the No. 1 recruit in the nation stayed in Louisiana to play for Les Miles and the Tigers, and now we get our first look at Fournette in an LSU uniform along with some of the top recruits from the No. 2 class of a year ago.

The 6-1, 225-pound Fournette was often referred to as the best running back recruit since Adrian Peterson so he arrived at LSU with expectations as high as the upper deck at Tiger Stadium, but he wasn’t the only high-profile recruit to stay close to home and play for the SEC power.

Fellow five-star recruit, Malachi Dupre committed to LSU on National Signing Day and the 6-3 wide receiver looks like he will step right in as a freshman and fill one of the two starting spots left vacated by Odell Beckham Jr.and Jarvis Landry who declared for the NFL Draft after 1,000-yard seasons last year.

The two posed for a picture during a photo shoot with CBS along with Trey Quinn who was one of the more underrated recruits in last year’s class as the four-star receiver broke the national high school receiving record, previously held by Dorial Green-Beckham, last year at Barbe high school.

This trio should help fellow freshman and potential starting quarterback, Brandon Harris, hit the ground running and fill the big shoes of departed senior quarterback Zach Mettenberger and give the Tigers a talented group of skill players to compete for SEC and National Championships in the coming years.
