When the Detroit Lions open up training camp at the team’s training facility in Allen Park, the Detroit Lions PUP list will include two very notable players.

More from Detroit Lions

According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, wide receiver Golden Tate and and defensive end Ezekiel “Ziggy” Ansah will open camp on the physically-unable to perform list.

The PUP list will also include wide receiver T.J. Jones.

Ansah underwent shoulder surgery earlier this year, but the team did not believe his injury was serious. There is still a good chance that Ansah will be suiting up at some point during the preseason, but he doesn’t seem ready enough for the start of training camp.

Like Ansah, Tate and Jones are also dealing with shoulder injuries.

Jones’ injury was a lingering issue from college, while Tate injured his shoulder during OTAs.

It will be interesting to see what happens with the trio of players as they attempt to get healthy enough for the start of the regular season.
