The MLB Trade Deadline is right around the corner which means that names like David Price’s are going to only get more frequently discussed and mentioned in rumors around the league .

More from Kansas City Royals

Price’s name has come up more and more frequently with the deadline getting closer and closer, which is something that more than a few teams have been keeping an eye on. In fact, according to Gordon Edes from ESPNBoston.com, 17 teams sent scouts to the Rays game on Friday night including two scouts each from the San Francisco Giants, Kansas City Royals and Pittsburgh Pirates.

It’s pretty much a certainty that Price is going to be traded before the deadline arrives but it’s unclear who is going to be acquiring him. For the longest time it sounded like the Seattle Mariners were going to land him but the Giants, Royals and Pirates seem like they’re pretty interested as well, as they showed the most interest in Price by sending two scouts on a night when more than half the league sent scouts as well.
