The Kevin Love trade drama continues to get more and more interesting as the summer wears on. From reported offers from the Boston Celtics, Golden State Warriors, Phoenix Suns and Chicago Bulls, to the ongoing talks with the Cleveland Cavaliers, it’s been a summer of Love in the NBA but resolution seems to be nearing.

More from Minnesota Timberwolves

Most of the reported trade offers from teams when it comes to Love have been bunk, and the latest one of those rumors seems to revolve around the New York Knicks and an off of Amare Stoudemire and a package of other players in exchange for Love.

Despite how good the offer may have sounded, according to AP reporter Jon Krawczynski, the much talked about trade offer that the New York Knicks apparently sent the Timberwolves never actually happened.

It’s hard to say in what capacity the offer was made but no matter how it was offered, it wasn’t formal at all. It really doesn’t matter though as anyone trying to acquire Love at this point is just grasping at nothing, as he wants to play with LeBron James and the Cavaliers are the team that will be acquiring him one way or another this season.
