Who ever made the new sign outside the Michigan State locker room needs to go back to school and learn how to spell. Or learn about spell check. The last time I looked, “accurate” is not spelled “acurate.” I don’t even need spell check on that one. Though spell check does confirm that, yes, the word “accurate” has two c’s.

Hmm, maybe Michigan State put the misspelling in there on purpose? Maybe it’s a way of testing their new players. See how many of them notice the mistake. How many Michigan State football players know how to spell, do you think? How many of them know how to read?

Okay, bad joke. I’m sure most of the football team can read at a college level. It’s Michigan State, not Arizona State.

We’ll see how long it takes for Michigan State to replace the sign. It’s all over the internet so they must be aware of it by now. Hopefully they are self-aware enough to realize they can’t leave that sign up. Leaving the sign up would just play into the stereotype that schools with great athletic programs only pay lip service to education. It would send a bad message if they left the sign up.
