Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw, WR Reggie Wayne out for preseason opener against Jets
By Jack Crosby
The Indianapolis Colts will begin their 2014 NFL preseason schedule on Thursday night with a contest against the New York Jets. But when they do take the field, they will be without two of their key pieces on offense as both running back Ahmad Bradshaw and wide receiver Reggie Wayne will not be playing.
Of course, Wayne is still on the road to recovery from the knee injury that ended his season last year. Although he has been practicing with the team, and has reportedly looked pretty good thus far in camp, there really is no reason to risk the health of the veteran in tonight’s game against New York.

With Bradshaw out as well, that means we’ll get to see a better look at how Trent Richardson is coming along, as he will be getting the entire workload for the first-team offense. The reports so far are that he has been getting a much better grasp of the offense than what he had when he was traded to Indianapolis last season.
We’ll find out in a few hours if that is the case or not.
