Bills’ Mike Williams won’t shave until team makes playoffs
By Hayden Kane
The Buffalo Bills are an intriguing team as the start of the 2014 NFL season approaches. They have no shortage of talented players and will be entertaining to watch for many of their games.

As anybody who watches the NFL knows well by now, however, there can be a big gap between being an intriguing team and being an actual playoff team. The Bills might be intriguing, but they have little going for them to resemble a playoff team.
That context isn’t going to drag Mike Williams down. As the wide receiver looks ahead to is first season in Buffalo, he is making a promise.
Said promise has to do with his already glorious beard. Williams says he will not shave until the Bills make the playoffs. As per the team Twitter feed for the Buffalo Bills.
He was already prepared for this moment, obviously, given the fact that his Twitter handle is @CaveManMike19.
The relevant question here is this: does this commitment from Williams extend beyond his tenure as a player on the Bills?
If it does, can anybody dispute the fact that Mike Williams might have a beard well into his years as a retired NFL player? Imagine Williams sitting on a couch somewhere, mumbling to himself as the Bills miss the playoffs once again, gazing longingly at a Barbasol advertisements, and wishing he had never said anything in the first place.
