As of right now, the word is that four members of the football team were given illegal academic assistance, and it allegedly happened during the 2012 season. the year in which the team went undefeated and played in the BCS National Championship Game against Alabama.
Right now, no names of players allegedly involved in the wrongdoing are being reported with legitimacy, therefore we will not list them here, as those claims are unsubstantiated at this time.
But now we do know that the program is being investigated for academic fraud, and as more information from this comes out, we will keep you updated as soon as possible.
Also, it should be noted that whether or not head coach Brian Kelly had any involvement or knowledge in what was allegedly happening in South Bend is not known.
