The Cleveland Browns are the talk of the NFL thanks to Johnny Manziel but there’s another big name to watch on their roster in Josh Gordon.

More from Cleveland Browns

Gordon was a sensation in 2013 when he went off as a offensive weapon but he has run into off the field problems that may take him away from football and take his production away from the Cleveland Browns.

Thanks to Johnny Manziel putting the Browns under the microscope, Gordon’s preseason is being closely watched to see if he can replicate his 2013 season and be a weapon for Manziel and the Browns in 2014.
So far. things have been bumpy as head coach Mike Pettine stated on Tuesday that he’d like to see more of an effort out of Gordon.

It’s hard to want Gordon to grow in the preseason only to see him get suspended for an entire season and leave his progress as nothing more than a tease. It’s also hard to say that Gordon is 100 percent to blame for the problems that he has on the field as both quarterbacks who have thrown to him have been average at best.

Still, Gordon has work to do and the Browns need him to come through for them on the field as much as they do off it.
