To be a successful athlete you need to not only have drive and talent, but a ridiculous amount of confidence and the belief that you’re the best. Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant has that confidence, and said he thinks he can score better than anybody at an event promoting NBA 2K15.

More from Kevin Durant

Of course it isn’t really ridiculous for Durant to make these comments. Durant has led the Oklahoma City Thunder to the NBA Finals and recently won the league’s Most Valuable Player award.

While LeBron James might be the best all-around basketball player encompassing offense and defense, is there any doubt that Kevin Durant is the best scorer in the league? Durant has won four of the last five scoring titles in the NBA. During that run he has averaged an insane 29.3 points per game, which is more than anyone else in the NBA, on nearly 49 percent shooting. James comes in second with a 27.3 points per game average during that span, a full two points behind Durant.

Now the debate about whether his comments are accurate are not depends on your perception and how you viewed the comments. I viewed in the context of presently. If you take it to mean all-time, well then we can debate.
