The time football fans have been waiting for since the dead of winter is finally here. The preseason is over, and the regular season is ready to kickoff with a fantastic slate of games for NFL Week 1.

While every fan will undoubtedly be watching their favorite team, there are many games of interest being broadcast throughout the opening week worth watching.

Whether you’re a fan of some intense rivalries, or you just want to see games from teams within your division that will allow you to throw out some sardonic tweets for a few hours, the NFL has got plenty on tap to get the 2014 season off to a big start.

Of course, all the millions of fantasy football players will be interested in as many games as possible, especially those that involve their players.

There’s a slight change in this year’s weekly schedule, as the Thursday night games which had been the sole property of the NFL Network will now be broadcast over network television as well, with this week’s game being seen on NBC. Moving on from Week 1, the Thursday games will be on CBS through Oct. 23.

Week 1 always has some great matchups set, and this year is no different. Here are five games which we think are must-see games to get you through the first week of NFL games.
