Baltimore Ravens, John Harbaugh press conference following Ray Rice release (Video)
By Jack Crosby
On Monday afternoon, in a move that a lot of people could see coming, the Baltimore Ravens released running back Ray Rice after video was released by TMZ earlier in the day of Rice striking his then fiance. Just a few hours after the video was brought to light, the team announced that they were terminating the contract of Rice, and then a short time after that, the NFL announced he was suspended indefinitely from the league.

Of course, while they haven’t exactly handled this the best way either, this is a tough time for the Ravens organization and head coach John Harbaugh. But as with any other high-profile incident, it needs to be addressed before the media. And not long after the team’s practice on Monday night, Harbaugh did just that.
Take a look in the video provided below as Harbaugh talks about the situation involving his former back, and what the team will do going forward.
Again, this is a difficult time for anyone like Harbaugh, as you never expect to have to deal with anything like this in your career.
But, nonetheless, it is part of the job, and he can thank Rice and his selfish, heinous actions for putting him and the rest of the organization in the place they were today, and will be for a good while now.
