It’s almost incredible how open Johnson is able to get, considering just how dangerous of a player he is, but the oft-criticized Stafford deserves credit for buying enough time to get the ball to Megatron.
Stafford was a perfect 4-4 for 109 yards on the drive. His other three completions went to running back Reggie Bush for 42 yards.
Stafford enters this year fresh off a 2013 season in which he threw for 4,650 yards and 29 touchdowns. Johnson caught 82 passes for 1,492 yards and 12 touchdowns throughout last season.
The Lions are looking to take the next step in 2014 and make the postseason and this is one heck of a start to accomplishing that.
