As we heard on Tuesday, Apple is bringing the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus to the market on September 19.  While the phones and Apple Watch were definitely the highlight of the show, there is also plenty to be said about the features behind the devices.  One of our favorites was Apple Pay, and now Wells Fargo is getting on board.

First off, one of the most important things when announcing a new technology is getting people on board.  Apple has made sure to do that.  With Chase already updating the login screen of their mobile application to announce Apple Pay, Wells Fargo emailed their customers announcing the new technology.

Wells Fargo notes in the email:

"A simple, secure way to pay for Wells Fargo card holdersWe’ve worked with Apple to ensure you can take advantage of this convenient new way to pay. Your Wells Fargo card and Apple Pay let you:Add your card simply by using your iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus cameraMake contactless payments in person at participating storesAuthorize payments with just the touch of your finger using Touch IDTMBenefit from Zero Liability protection1 against liability for promptly reported unauthorized card transactionsApple Pay will work with most of our consumer and small business cards, including Wells Fargo Visa®, and Wells Fargo MasterCard® Credit, Debit, and Prepaid cards, and with our new Wells Fargo Propel American Express® cards."

With Apple Pay, both Apple and the institutions adopting the new technology are simply looking for new ways to enahcne the customer buying and selling experience.  The technology looks like its off to a great start.
