Oklahoma Sooners to debut alternate uniforms for West Virginia game
By Jack Crosby
There are some solid games this weekend in the fourth week of the college football season, but undoubtedly one that everyone will be keeping an eye on is the battle in the Big 12 Conference between the Oklahoma Sooners and the West Virginia Mountaineers. And when the Sooners take the field on Saturday, they will have a different look to them.

When the Sooners take the field in the hostile environment of Morgantown, they will be looking to “bring the wood” by wearing a version of the new uniforms that were announced all the way back in July.
Here, from the official Oklahoma twitter account, is what the Sooners will be wearing come Saturday.
All things considered, especially in comparison to some awful uniforms that we’ve seen recently, these aren’t all that bad for a traditional program. Are people going to be unhappy? Sure, there are always people that hate the alternates. But in this case, it could be a lot worse.
When asked about the decision to finally don the uniforms this week, head coach Bob Stoops pretty much just said that since they’re there, they might as well get worn. It was bound to happen at some point.
“We just thought we might as well use them. Since you got them, you eventually got to use them,” Stoops said.
What is probably the neatest and most unique part of these uniforms are the various references to Oklahoma history that are on them, such as their record 47-game winning streak, which still stands to this day.
