The Atlanta Falcons issued a thorough beatdown to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night, winning the game 56-14. During the second quarter, Falcons wide receiver Devin Hester ran in a score and then added a 62-yard punt return for the touchdown.

He capped off the run mimicking Deion Sanders’ famous high-step, the man who had previously held the record for most returns for a touchdown, this score breaking that record.

“It’s tough to break the record of the guy who is my No. 1 mentor,” Hester said after the game, via ESPN. “I’m kind of emotional right now.”

Hester was also tearful on the sideline as a mic’d up Mike Smith, the Falcons head coach, went to go check on him.

The emotions and love fest didn’t stop there. After the game Hester joined Deion Sanders on the post-game set and they shared a tearful moment. It starts off with Sanders’ co-hosts explaining to Hester that Sanders was on-board with him breaking his record and supporting him.

Hester seemed composed as he tried to explain that he tried to get the football for Sanders. When it came time for Sanders to talk, that is when things got emotional as they both broke down. Check it out below:
