Los Angeles Lakers rumors: Steve Nash finally healthy?
By Bryan Rose
When you think of Los Angeles Lakers point guard Steve Nash, healthy wouldn’t be the term used to describe him – at least not during the past few seasons.

Now 40-years-old, you wouldn’t assume the former NBA MVP would have improving health given his declining age but you’d be wrong, at least according to Steve Nash himself. Reports from those close to the Los Angeles Lakers have suggested that Steve Nash looks as good as they’ve ever seen him in Forum Blue and the nerve issue that has hampered the point guard during his stint in Southern California has become greatly reduced.
Of course, it’s one thing to say you’re feeling healthy before the start of training camp and it’s another to remain healthy come January or February after you’ve played in 50 games. Granted, with Jeremy Lin on the roster, the Los Angeles Lakers will do what they can to keep Steve Nash fresh and it’s very possible he’ll miss the occasional game to rest. Still, if the former Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks great can remain healthy and play for the vast majority of the season without issue, that would be a major addition to the Los Angeles Lakers backcourt.
There’s obviously plenty of reason to be skeptical given Steve Nash’s injury history, but things look good so far.
