Paul lowered his head as New York Giants defenders Antrel Rolle and Quentin Demps approached andall three players’ heads collided.
What resulted was a frightening moment.
Paul rolled onto his back after the hit and was laying with his arms and legs stiff.
He was knocked out cold.
Video of the frightening hit is below:
Paul was having difficulty walking when he came back to consciousness and was taken to the sideline.
As you would expect, he is being evaluated for a concussion.
Considering Paul was knocked unconsciously and struggled to gain his balance, it would be safe to say he could be severely concussed. We will have to wait on official word from the team however.
Washington did address the situation on social media and has ruled Paul out for the remainder of the game.
