Kevin Durant Taking Shots Before Game (Video)
By Wes Goldberg
Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant was seen taking shots before his team’s game against the Sacramento Kings Sunday.
Just a few days after Kevin Durant lost the walking boot, the reigning MVP was seen practicing shots before the Oklahoma City Thunder’s game against the Sacramento Kings Sunday. It’s a reassuring sign for Thunder fans, although he hit just one of this three in the video.
This is unfamiliar territory for Durant, who missed a total of 16 games in seven NBA seasons with the Thunder. He’s set to be re-evaluated in about four weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a fracture in his right foot that he suffered in the preseason.

Durant does his best to stay involved in the game by cheering on his teammates from the bench. In addition to losing the walking boot and taking set shots before the game, Durant is often seen standing on the sidelines. These are small things, but it takes small steps to get back into game shape after such an injury.
The Thunder are doing their best to stay in contention in the West. Without Durant or Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City is relying on Serge Ibaka, Reggie Jackson and a cast of role players (Perry Jones stepped up for them, but he’s injured too).
The Thunder will need Durant back to compete for the Western Conference title, but it’s more important that he is fully recovered before making a return.
