Before the Buffalo Bills host the New York Jets on Sunday afternoon, the city and surrounding areas will have amassed over seven feet of snowfall. Yes, you read that correctly – seven feet.

Four feet of snow has already fallen and it’s expected that an additional three feet of the white stuff will hit the ground in the coming days, which probably isn’t very good news for the Buffalo Bills grounds crew.

Yes, they’re obviously well adapted in dealing with snow and even blizzard like conditions, but considering Ralph Wilson Stadium is already buried they’re going to have a significant amount of work on their hands before Sunday.

This is what the Buffalo Bills’ home field currently looks like with significantly more snow to come:

Looks like a warm, sunny day at the beach, right?

As of right now it doesn’t appear as if there will actually be snow when the Buffalo Bills host the New York Jets though we all know how temperamental Mother Nature can be and that’s easily subject to change. Still, it’s going to be blistering cold and that by itself will alter how both teams decide to play their game.

In regards to players and coaches on the Buffalo Bills roster, they were expected to practice today however given the snow, they can’t even make it to the team facility so practice has been canceled. As for the Ralph Wilson Stadium crew, they unfortunately had to make their way to the field where they’ve reportedly removed upwards of 220,000 tons of snow so far.

The game is still scheduled to be played though the NFL is said to be reviewing the weather just in case.
