Detroit may not be known as the city that every one wants to visit because of its hospitality but the Buffalo Bills seemed to enjoy their visit to the city.
Not only did they beat up on the New York Jets, but they felt at home doing so.
"“Our fans? They were phenomenal,” Bills coach Doug Marrone said, via Tim Graham of the Buffalo News. “You don’t know what to expect. . . . You get concerned about, ‘Is this going to be a home field?’ You get ready for a silent count. . . .“I was like, ‘Holy cow, baby. Here we go. We got the crowd.’ That was a little bit of a relief for me in the beginning of the game.”"
The Bills had more than just the fans on their side, the Lions helped out a lot as well. The organization painted the Bills logo on the field, put Buffalo Wings in the press box and opened all their facilities to the Bills as well.
Bills president Russ Brandon also had something to say.
"“It shows what this league was built on,” Bills president Russ Brandon said. “I go back to what [late Bills owner Ralph] Mr. Wilson used to say: ‘We compete one day a week, and we’re partners the other six days.’ ”"
Detroit showed the Bills how good of a place it really is this week.
