Johnny Manziel’s Bodyguard Arrested For DUI While Driving Manziel’s Car

When the Cleveland Browns drafted Johnny Manziel earlier this year they were aware they’d likely have to put up with some questionable diva behavior. Little did they know their rookie quarterback would be finding himself associated with folks who continue to find themselves on the wrong side of news worthy headlines.

Just a few days ago Johnny Manziel and his crew were involved in a rather odd scuffle with an overzealous autograph hound/fan though in fairness to the Cleveland Browns quarterback, he was not involved in the police report.

Still, you have to wonder why Manziel was out at such a late hour and dealing with such people in the first place.

Now the quarterback is in hot water again though through not fault of his own as Johnny Manziel’s bodyguard was arrested for DUI while driving the car of the former Texas A&M star.

"19 Action News Reporter Ed Gallek has confirmed that Johnny Manziel’s “bodyguard” was arrested for DUI in Downtown Cleveland early Saturday morning at 2:30 a.m. in Johnny’s car.We’re told at the time of the incident Manziel was not in the vehicle but his car was impounded."

In addition, 19 Action News reports the same man involved in the DUI was also involved in the incident last week with the fan who was “toying” with Manziel.

It’s hard to begrudge Manziel and his “bodyguard” if the man was truly giving them grief (even though their decision making could have been better) though there’s simply no excuse for this.

Simply put Manziel’s “bodyguard” needs to be more mature and Johnny needs to be more careful with whom he associates with because while he has stayed out of trouble, those around him have not and that only sours his name.
