The Boston Red Sox could be looking to trade Allen Craig, and recent MLB trade rumors have linked the Milwaukee Brewers to a possible deal.
This world of trade rumors in professional sports has turned us all into market analysts. For example, we all talk about “buy low” opportunities with players who have struggled recently but still offer future value.

In an MLB market that is starved for offense and especially from the right side of the plate, Boston Red Sox outfielder/first baseman Allen Craig could be a buy low candidate. Craig had a disastrous 2014 season, splitting his time between the Cardinals and Red Sox and batting a lowly .215/.279/.315 with eight home runs and 46 RBI. Before that, however, Craig was consistently a good hitter for the Cardinals. He is a career .282 hitter.
If any team will recognize Craig’s potential, it just might be a team that used to see a lot of the good version of the right-handed hitter in the NL Central. As such, it makes sense that the Milwaukee Brewers might be interested in trading for Craig.
"That leaves possibly the Brewers with interest in Craig. There are so many teams who have mixed feelings on whether Craig will bounce back to be the hitter he was before last season. NL executives remember Craig as a tough out, a clutch hitter, and a professional bat. He was hardly that a year ago."
In the midst of an off-season in which teams are paying steep prices for offense, Allen Craig could be a nice bargain for the Brewers or any other interested team.
