No One Wants To Buy A Johnny Manziel Jersey Anymore

After a season of leading the NFL in hype, Johnny Manziel’s season has fizzled out fast and hard, with his jersey sales taking a hit over the season.

Johnny Manziel was one of the hottest talking points of the NFL season this season, but when he finally debuted for the Cleveland Browns, he was less than impressive. Now that the world has seen exactly what they expected out of Johnny Manziel, the appeal of Johnny Football is wearing off.

This is being seen in Manziel’s wickedly decreased jersey sales, as he has fallen out of the Top 10 for rookie sales and overall sales this week.

According to DICK’s Jersey Report, Manziel’s jersey sales have gone down in rather significant fashion over the course of the season. He once lead all rookies in jersey sales, but has now been totally and completely eclipsed by all quarterbacks in the NFL.

Not only that, Johnny Manziel is slipping against all NFL jersey sales, as while he still accounts for a nice chunk against all of the other players in the league, his numbers are still on the decline and less than impressive.

At one point in the season, Manziel was leading all rookie jersey sales and was in the Top 10 for all players in the NFL. It now appears that a lot of his jersey hype was boosted by the rush after he was drafted this May.

Johnny Manziel isn’t the sensation he was hyped to be and his jersey sales are going down. That can all change, but the insane hype surrounding Manziel seems to have been overblown in more than one way.
