Quarterback Joe Flacco sold more jerseys than any other Baltimore Ravens player during the 2014 NFL season.
Thanks to a San Diego Chargers loss in Week 17, the Baltimore Ravens snuck into the AFC Playoffs as the sixth-seed, despite finishing in third-place in the AFC North. The Ravens finished the season with a 10-6 record and survived under constant media attention surrounding Ray Rice.
In order to survive all the negative media attention, the Ravens looked to their quarterback and their defense to lead them through the tough time.

According to Jersey Report, which tracks jersey sales all over the country at DICK’S Sporting Goods stores and online, Flacco sold more jerseys than any other Ravens player and finished the season eighth in total jersey sales, between New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (7th) and Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall (9th).
Flacco finished the season 12th in the league in total passing yards (3,986 yards) and touchdowns (27).
Flacco was also sixth in jersey sales among quarterbacks behind Peyton Manning, Andrew Luck, Russell Wilson, Johnny Manziel (puke!), and Brady.
Off the top of my head, I wouldn’t have guessed Flacco would be so high on the list of jersey sales. Flacco’s a very quiet, calm player, and he makes very few headlines or SportsCenter segments. Still, Flacco is one of the elite quarterbacks in football and won a Super Bowl two years ago, so it does make sense why Flacco would be so highly thought of by fans.
Wide receiver Torrey Smith, who was the closest Ravens player to Flacco on the list, ranked 39th in the league in total jersey sales, 21 spots behind Flacco and, surprisingly, one place ahead of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. Perhaps, the Ravens fans’ faith was well-placed in Smith, who hauled in a 53-yard catch against the Cleveland Browns in Week 17 that saved the Ravens season.
Linebacker Terrell Suggs (54th), wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. (60th), and linebacker C.J. Mosley (100th) were the only other Ravens players to finish in top 100 in jersey sales during the 2014 season.
