Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay wants the team to prove that they are legitimate Super Bowl contenders.
The Indianapolis Colts are the fourth seed in the AFC Playoffs after winning the AFC South with an 11-5 record. Andrew Luck has been a remarkable third-year quarterback, and ended up breaking Peyton Manning’s Colts’ franchise record for single-season passing yards.

Jim Irsay knows that this team has the potential to make a run at the Super Bowl, but he wants his team to prove it.
There have been quite a few ups this season for the Colts, but there have also been quite a few downs. Losses to teams like the Denver Broncos, New England Patriots, and Dallas Cowboys aren’t losses to be too upset about, but they haven’t shown that they can beat a legitimate Super Bowl contender. They were able to dominate the team that they will face in the wildcard round of the playoffs, the Cincinnati Bengals, with a 27-0 victory.
Irsay talked to the media about wanting his team to step up to the challenge and make the run that it needs to make.
“We feel we’re better, more talented than the last two years. But we have to go out and prove that.”
It is going to be very intriguing to see whether or not they are able to make a legitimate run into the playoffs. The Colts have one of the most high-powered offenses in the league, but their defense leaves a bit to be desired.
All of that being said, the Colts are going to have to play nearly perfect football to overcome teams like the Patriots and Broncos. They have the talent to make a run, but they have to live up to their full potential. It will be very intriguing to see what they end up doing, but they definitely have the talent to make a Super Bowl run if they get to clicking on all cylinders.
