Tennis star Maria Sharapova showed off her soccer skills during a break at the Fed Cup over the weekend.
We all know that Maria Sharapova is one of the most talented tennis players on the face of the planet. What is easy to forget, however, is the fact that Sharapova’s athleticism allows her to be better at most activities than your average human.

Take soccer, for example.
On the same weekend where the United States women’s team struggled against France in an international friendly, Maria Sharapova was flaunting off some soccer skills that could have been useful for the USWNT.
Sure, she was born in Russia, but a birth country never kept the USA from adding a player to their roster. She’s not cap-tied to Russia, right? That is something USA soccer should look into.
Anywho.
Back to the point. Sharapova had a little break over the weekend during the Fed Cup, when she showed off her ability to juggle a soccer ball while working on some footwork training.
It was actually quite impressive. Just look at Sharapova holding down the court.
Sure, Sharapova got a little sloppy at the end, but that can all get better with practice.
Perhaps Sharapova should take some lessons from Alex Morgan to round out her cheeky skills.
Back on the court where Sharapova actually makes her living as an athlete, the weekend was a big success. Thanks to Sharapova, Russia was able to power past Poland at Tauron Arena Kraków in Kraków, Poland to reach the Fed Cup semifinals.
