Banned soccer manager watches games from attic (Photo)
A mere banishment from the stadium wasn’t going to stop Poole Town’s Tom Killick from watching his team.
Soccer managers who are sent off or banned have traditionally tried to find creative ways to still watch their team. But Poole Town FC’s Tom Killick may be the first to attempt to manage a team from an attic.
From The Daily Mail:
Killick has been relegated to the attic during a six-match ban for improper verbal conduct towards an official. There’s one game remaining on the ban, but fortunately Killick somehow found a vantage point on Saturday where he could see most of the pitch.

It is one of the few advantages of playing in lower-level English soccer. Killick is not getting away with that at Old Trafford.
One can only hope that Killick knew the owner of the house and didn’t have to ask a random family to borrow their attic. With Killick’s secret out of the bag, the Football Association will now have to decide if watching from the is within the grounds of his suspension
Killick’s presence from the attic apparently inspired his team, as Poole Town was able to defeat Cambridge City 3-2 on Saturday. Poole Town sits in first place in the Southern League Premier Division, meaning a promotion could be on the way.
