Former Florida State head coach Bobby Bowden had some strong words to say about former Seminoles quarterback Jameis Winston

Many people have a lot of different opinions on former Florida State Heisman-winning quarterback Jameis Winston, but not a lot of them really hit all that hard at this point. Well, that is of course unless it’s legendary coach Bobby Bowden that’s the one doing the talking, which he did on Tuesday.

And, well…it was not anything positive.

While appearing on the Paul Finebaum Show Tuesday afternoon, Bowden proclaimed that he’s of the belief that fans and FSU boosters see Winston’s time at the school as an embarrassment.

Again, we’ve heard a lot of opinions over the course of the past two years when it comes to Winston, but not many resonate. But this quote by Bowden you can hear loud and clear like an atomic bomb going off, given his status as one of the most legendary coaches to grace the game of college football.

Of course, Bowden is referring to Winston’s troubles while in Tallahassee, which included the sexual assault accusations, as well as his suspension from the Clemson game for standing atop a table on campus and screaming out a sexual vulgarity.

And, of course, the infamous crab leg scandal; can’t forget that.

But these are some pretty strong words from the man that Florida State fans respect more than anyone for all he contributed to the football program over the years.

Still bitter about the way he was ousted from the school, or is he right?
