The Denver Nuggets are trying to find a foundation for their future, and that begins with international man of mystery Emmanuel Mudiay.

One of the biggest issues for the Denver Nuggets in the recent past has been a lack of point guard prowess, and that’s a problem that they’re trying to change in the NBA Draft. After the draft board shifted at the top, international man of mystery Emmanuel Mudiay slipped to No. 7 overall and right to the Nuggets.

As is the case with most of these picks tonight, there is possibility that anyone taken could be traded in a draft day swap — and that’s the category Mudiay fell under.

After it was leaked that the Nuggets were taking former SMU guard Emmanuel Mudiay, Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Denver will be keeping Mudiay for the future.

Mudiay is a wild card in the draft and he could end up panning out in a great way. The last international man of mystery to be taken, Dante Exum, hasn’t yet panned out but there’s still time. Mudiay is a great prospect for the Nuggets and while they may entertain the idea of a trade later, for now Denver is going to hold on to their potential point guard of the future.
