Texas A&M head football coach Kevin Sumlin is one of the more colorful personalities in the game of college football. He also happens to be one hell of a football coach, especially when it comes to the offensive side of the ball. But one thing that we found out on Sunday he’s not all that good at being is a pitcher on the mound.
As we approach the beginning of the 2015 college football season, Sumlin was the celebrity on Sunday that tossed out the first pitch prior to the Houston Astros taking on the Texas Rangers. Now Sumlin still appears to be someone that’s in pretty good athletic shape at his age, so this was probably a piece of cake, right?
Well, actually, it was up there on the list with some of the worst first pitches that we’ve seen.
Oh boy, that was…not good. That was not good at all, and you can see the immediate embarrassment on his face after he sailed that ball right past the catcher to get the day started on Sunday.
It truly is a good thing that he’s a successful football coach in the SEC, because he definitely would not have made it in the baseball world.
