De’Anthony Thomas is clowning fools at Chiefs training camp, as he juked Phillip Gaines out of his skin on Friday afternoon.

NFL training camps are officially open, and it’s starting to become clear which players are going to stand out and which ones are in way over their heads. We were given a perfect scenario of this on Friday afternoon at Chiefs camp, when former Oregon running back De’Anthony Thomas started juking fools out of their souls.

Thomas, who recently converted from running back to wide receiver, showed off his skills at the expense of Phillip Gaines. Not only did Thomas show some great speed off the line, but he absolutely destroyed the ankles of this cornerback in the most embarrassing way.

This is just straight up mean.

Thomas is trying to settle into a receiver role on a team that abhors the idea of throwing the ball to them. The Chiefs recorded a grand total of zero touchdowns to receivers last year and lost the only one the rest of the world was aware of in free agency.

There’s a void to be filled and Thomas wants to fill it — even if the highlight of his season ends up being juking out his own secondary.
