Arkansas RB Jonathan Williams confirmed out for the season

Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema confirmed on Monday that they’ll be without the services of Jonathan Williams the entire way
Sunday we all received the news that the Arkansas Razorbacks, with just about two weeks to go until the regular season begins, will be without running back Jonathan Williams for what they called an “extended period of time.” On Monday, we learned exactly what the definition of that is, and it’s not good news.
After suffering a foot injury in scrimmage on Saturday, head coach Bret Bielema confirmed to everyone on Monday that Williams will be out for the entirety of the regular season for the Razorbacks.
Of course, much like when we heard the initial news of the injury, people will point to the fact that Alex Collins is still healthy and more than likely ready to carry the load. However, losing Williams is still a tremendous loss for this program that is coming into the season with some high hopes in the SEC West.
Last season Williams was the leader of this team when it comes to rushing, totaling 1,190 yards on 211 carries. This was a young man that proved he could carry a pretty nice load, and with a team that likes to run the ball as much as the Razorbacks do, this is not the news they wanted this close to the season.
But, like mentioned above, they still have that Alex Collins guy, whose job just got a lot more important on this team in 2015.
