The Utah Utes now have some extra fuel added to their fire, all thanks to the Popular Mechanics magazine

In just a tad over one week from now, the Utah Utes will take the field to begin their pursuit of a Pac-12 Championship and they’ll begin their campaign against the Michigan Wolverines. With Michigan searching for their identity again under new head coach Jim Harbaugh, everyone expects that the Utes will come away with the win here in the opener.

Well, almost everyone. As a matter of fact, there’s one outlet that believes Michigan might have a pretty easy time with Utah and they’re pretty mad about it.

In a recent edition of Popular Mechanics magazine, they took some time on their calendar to recognize the beginning of the college football season in September. They highlight Michigan on the Thursday slate and they also refer to Utah as a “cupcake.”

It’s admirable that the publication took some time out to recognize the beginning of the college football season and Michigan, but I’m not so sure that they understand who Utah is exactly. This is a team that is very much expected to contend for that conference title in 2015, so seeing them beat Michigan at home next Thursday is very much a good possibility.

With this, Utah now has some extra motivation — as if they really needed it.
