Kiko Alonso showed off some of that athleticism that makes him great on Monday night, snagging this awesome interception from Matt Ryan
Monday night in the opener, the Philadelphia Eagles offense was not really doing all that well to start. No matter what point in the game it is, when that happens, the defense needs to step up and make a play. Well, Kiko Alonso is certainly a man that gets that message.
Late in the first quarter of this one with the Eagles already down 3-0, the Falcons were driving in the red zone and really threatening. Matt Ryan tried to fire off a pass to the end zone, but, Alonso had other ideas.
Not only did he intercept the pass, but he brought it in with one hand.

I mean, all you can say when you see something like that is, “Wow!” To think that a linebacker can be that athletic is just scary. That might not be the last time we see a play like that from him this season.
Alonso, so far, is proving that it was more than worth bringing him in from the Bills in that trade that sent LeSean McCoy to Buffalo.
