Ole Miss’s public relations director took a shot at Alabama in a joke, then deleted the tweet to cover his tracks.

Ole Miss and Alabama are about to do battle on Saturday in a battle of top-ranked SEC teams. Ole Miss has been dominant meanwhile Alabama has consistently been a top team under Nick Saban.

College GameDay was on hand for the game and the two fanbases were taking shots at one another in signs.

It didn’t end there, Ole Miss’s public relations director Danny Blanton got in on the action with a Bama joke on Twitter.

Then he deleted it to cover his tracks, but that never works on the internet thanks to the wonder that is screen-shotting.

All things considered, it isn’t the worst or most offensive joke in the world. It is a relatively PG-rated joke compared to some of the things we saw in the background of GameDay on signs by the fans.

The difference being those are college students, not hired representatives of the school. I don’t think we can expect this to be made a bigger deal than it is and I doubt the school does anything.
