ESPN’s traveling roadshow, College GameDay, braved the elements on Saturday morning during its trip to Clemson, South Carolina. With Hurricane Joaquin showering the East Coast with rainstorms, Coach, Herbie and The Artist Formerly Known As Rece saddled up and brought the thunder.

Down in Death Valley, it’s a banner top-15 matchup as the Tigers look to protect their turf against the visiting Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Despite losing seemingly everyone and their brother, the Irish have managed to remain undefeated. They’ve pasted Texas and Massachusetts, and also ground out hard-fought victories against Virginia and Georgia Tech. Suffice to say, Notre Dame has found various ways to win.

As for Clemson, after two cupcakes in Wofford and Appalachian State the Tigers were tested in their last game, a road contest against Louisville.  Clemson should enter the game well-rested following an off week, and figure to come out fired up. Often prone to crumbling in primetime contests, this squad looks to prove that Clemsoning is, in fact, a myth.

Once again, College GameDay was nothing less than spectacular. It didn’t matter that the weather was soggy, students still brought the signs and hammered home the creativity. Here are the best signs from Week 5 of the college football season down in Clemson.
