JR Smith is a champion in all aspects, on the court and off.

No one partied harder than JR Smith after the Cleveland Cavaliers came back from a 3-1 deficit against the Golden State Warriors to win the Finals 4-3. Smith refused to wear a shirt for like an entire week.

He had a champagne fight with a waitress at a Cavaliers afterparty. Eventually, someone made a shirt that is simply JR’s torso, so he technically never has to wear a shirt ever again.

President Obama told him he has to wear a shirt when he comes to the White House, but until then he is likely spending his time as shirtless as possible.

Today, in what’s becoming known as “The Summer of JR”, Smith wore a shirt. A special shirt that advocates him being president.

Smith is having much more fun with this than most people have had with their respective championships. Essentially, Smith is not playing in this golf tournament but is attending the golf tournament in a “JR For President” shirt. Smith has played for the New Orleans Hornets, the Denver Nuggets, and the New York Knicks, but never won a championship until his stint with the resurgent Cavaliers and LeBron James.

No one is sure if Smith will stay in Cleveland as he recently opted out of his contract to become a free agent. The TV revenue pouring into the NBA means that Smith has a high likelihood of getting serious money outside of Cleveland, but the Cavaliers might make a big push to keep the team that broke Cleveland’s curse together.
