New Zelda: Breath of the Wild images focus on the Bokoblins

Thanks to Nintendo, we got a new look at some of the most recognizable enemies in The Legend of Zelda series: the Bokoblins!

Since Nintendo has been releasing so much footage of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild recently, we were patiently waiting to see when they would drop the next piece of information based on the game. Although it isn’t gameplay footage, on Thursday, Nintendo of America tweeted out some new images from the game.

In the new images, the focus is solely on the Bokoblins and them alone. In the new game, there’s various different types of Bokoblins, such as the basic one with a club, one in skeleton form, and one with a sword and shield. Get a better look down below:

Throughout the series, many different types of Bokoblins have made an appearance. For the most part, they’re the basic enemies that you’ll encounter as you journey through the land of Hyrule. But, it seems that they’re sticking to the same old mechanics, such as the regular club-wielding Bokoblins appearing throughout the day, and the skeletons appearing at night, which is great to see.

In other gameplay videos, we also saw that these Bokoblins will come in different sizes, such as the regular Bokoblin and the leader, who’s much bigger than the rest. There also seems to be a new element of gameplay when taking out these Bokoblins.

For example, they seem to hold different territories and forts that may have different treasures that Link can collect. In order to get on these forts and collect these items, we must defeat the Bokoblins to do so.

Nintendo must be gearing up to reveal big news on the game very soon. Till then, we’ll be content with all the content they can dish out.
