The rehab for Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant appears to be going well as today, Lakers trainer Gary Vitti said Kobe looks “exactly” as he should at this point of his rehabilitation.

Per Vitti, via Mike Trudell:

"Trainer Gary Vitti on @kobebryant‘s progress in rehab: “Kobe looks exactly the way he’s supposed to look at this point in time.”"

In recent days, Kobe himself has been tweeting out positive updates on his status, though his ability to be ready for the season opener is still questionable. Most have suggested that Bryant will be unavailable for the first few weeks of the season as he recovers from the torn left Achilles’ tendon but the always hard working Bryant seems semi-obsessed with proving them wrong.

Additionally, according to Vitti, power forward Pau Gasol appears to be recovering nicely as well as he’s expiring little to no pain:

"Vitti on @paugasol‘s rehab from his knee procedure: “He (has) zero pain in the left tendon, and the right tendon (is) almost pain free."
