The pieces are finally starting to fall into place for the Denver Nuggets. After having let go of GM Masai Ujiri, assistant GM Pete D’Alessandro and head coach George Karl, the Nuggets have started to fill the vacancies. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo, Denver has hired New Orleans Pelicans assistant GM Tim Connelly as the team’s new general manager.

As Wojnarowski suggests, Connelly is one of the rising stars in the league in terms of front-office people. Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated also echoed the same on his Twitter, saying that Connelly is a very respected talent evaluator.
Now the Nuggets have some kind of a direction, as filling the general manager spot was an imminent issue, considering that the 2013 NBA Draft is not far away. With a new GM in place, the Nuggets will probably be making a decision on a new head coach relatively soon.
