Yikes. Bad news for both the New England Patriots and Aaron Hernandez as the Pats tight end is currently being questioned by police in a homicide investigation.
As of this moment, Hernandez is not considered a suspect though a car rented in his name has become a key piece of evidence in the investigation.
Per Sports Illustrated:
"New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was questioned by police investigating a possible homicide in this town 40 miles south of Boston. A source with knowledge of the investigation said Massachusetts State police spoke to Hernandez on Monday and were interested in possibly searching his home."
A rented 2013 Chevrolet Suburban is the vehicle in question, which was linked to previously being used by Hernandez.
The investigation is stemming from the discovery of a 27 year old male jogger who was found dead on Monday, less than a mile from Hernandez’s home.
There are no further details available at this time and the Patriots tight end has declined comment.
